Introduction:

Two years ago you, the voting public, resided your confidence in me to represent you on the Coast Community College Board of Trustees. Part of my pledge to you was that I would continue the open dialogue between us as we moved our colleges forward into the 21st century.

I have listed some of my accomplishments on your behalf on my new accomplishments page. I have tried to bring a new consensus amongst your board and have sought to create a better working relationship between all of your board members and the administrators that manage your colleges. I think we have been successful but more work remains to be done.

For his longtime leadership in promoting academic achievement among young students, CCCD Board President Jim Moreno was honored last month with KinderCaminata’s Corazon Award, which recognizes significant contributions in advancing academic achievement of kindergarten students.
